Ft Abhishek Ray

When it comes to Ethnic pieces I have always preferred something which is really subtle but at the same time catches everyone's eye. Some outfits are worth million words and this outfit speaks for itself. Structured pieces with intricate designs is what I always look for when it comes to ethnic pieces. Something that's simple but the detailing are such which leaves a long lasting impression.

Abhishek Ray the man of the hour is an amazing fashion designer who puts up in Kolkata and has an amazing taste when it comes to creating outfits. He graduated from NIFT in 2005 and that is how he entered the indian fashion scenario and since then there's no stopping. He came up with his own flagship store ABHISHEK RAY 2 months back and his collections are too amazing to not compliment. Justine and I decided to do a collaborative shoot with him and it was so much fun. We asked Abhishek to help up with the outfits and the ones he took us through was absolutely love at first sight.

I wore a black chanderi and tulle combined asymmetric jacket. The front yoke has hand embroided Parsi embroidery in bright colors while the side panels are embroidered with zari. The back of the jacket is in unlined tulle panels which adds a sexy element to the outfit and the hem has the same Parsi border. This is teamed with a chantile lace palazzo for a chic sophisticated and trendy look. As for accessories stacked wooden and antique metal bangles and antique bronze and pearl earrings sealed the look. The make up complimented the outfit. Smokey eyes, nude lips and a high hair up do. The jacket can also be teamed on top of a black or beige trouser, distressed denim or also with ripped denim shorts if you are looking to play around with it. This outfit is trendy yet traditional, modern but deeply rooted in culture and also sexy yet demure.

Justine is an upcoming blogger who has been killing it with her sense of style. Keeping it simple and not going overboard she really knows how to work minimalism to its best and does absolute justice to it. She also is an amazing person in and out. Witty and outrageously funny! To know the details about what Justine is wearing and all the things that she has to say about it go check her blog out on thejustineann.com when it's up! Few of my pictures here are edited by these amazing bloggers Sohail Khan and Zaid Khan of  Khans Couture. The duo has won hearts with their impeccable sense of style and influenced many men around. They have also come up with this awesome concept of giving exposure to the female bloggers by collaborating with them. These men are too cool for school. You should go check their website right about now. And also follow them on Instagram for everyday fashion fixes. Also they've featured me on their blog this month so go check it out here! http://khanscouture.com/nikita-datta-iworemystyle/
