Casual Monsoon

I've been in a holiday mood for quite some time now and shooting for the blog was nowhere on my to-do list.If you've been following me on Instagram you'd be probably knowing about my short trip to Pune and Mumbai. I was hooked to this whole idea of taking a week off to Pune for my convocation and Mumbai for a crazy time. Mumbai rains scared me initially but later I enjoyed every bit of it. Now that I'm back to my roots and it's hit by monsoon I do not feel like moving around and prefer being a couch potato all day long! It's gloomy through out the day and I can only wish to get a glimpse of the sun.

Since it's raining almost everyday and it's all muddy outside I prefer keeping my look very casual and comfy. For this post I've paired my joggers with a simple black tank top and slippers. The jogger gives a denim like look but is absolutely soft in texture and easy to move around in. I chose a floral pair of slippers to splash on some color to the whole look.I kept it really really minimal on the accessories and chose to put on a polka bow headwrap to add that zing!

Hey Loves!

It's been quite a ride since I've started blogging and this one happens to be quite exciting for the third. I collaborated with fashion blogger Tanumita G of Thank God It's Fashion (TGIF) for this post and it turned out to be a fun shoot. Shooting outdoors in Kolkata has never been easy during summers, but this shoot happened to be real fun.
Here, Tanumita is seen wearing an all white outfit whereas I am dressed in all black. Black has always been my favourite color and I don't seem to ever overcome my obsession for black. If you happen to see me on the streets on any normal day you would probably see me in an all black outfit that too most of the time. Summers are not too great to sport an all black look for most of you as it happens to absorb more heat but for me black has always been my comfort color and wearing all black during summers doesn't really make any difference to me (weirdo alert :p).
For this post I wore a black ripped denim and teamed it up with a high neck muscle tee,a black fringe kimono and heels. I sported more of a grunge look. I kept minimal on the accessories wearing a fringed neckpiece as my look was loud enough and it did not need any more attention. On the other hand Tanumita wore a white crop top which she paired with a pale pink pencil skirt, white half jacket and nude heels. Her look was more on the feminine side. She threw on some gold accessories which sealed the look. Keeping it minimal on her accessories she showcased a fresh summery look. White being the color everyone would prefer during summer, an all white outfit gives you a refreshed look be it anytime of the day.

The BLUE Story

Hey there guys!
There are certain classic pieces and trends that never go out of fashion. It has revolved over time and has been experimented in a way or the other. Maxi skirts have been a part of the trend since the late 17th century and has revolutionized over time. The Spring Summer 2015 runways were awash with the the new must have skirt: the maxi. Maxi skirts in a lightweight fabric are just too perfect for summers. For today's look I paired my sheer royal blue slit maxi with a white cami and a cropped denim vest. I have always had an eye for the royal shade of blue and this maxi skirt tops my list( thanks to the color). Layering your outfit with a denim vest enhances the outfit and gives you a very grunge yet chic look. I've always preferred wearing flats with maxis and maxi skirts during summers as they are very comfortable to move around in and moreover they save the pain. I accessorized this look with an electric blue feather bracelet to accentuate the funk element.
What do you guys think of this look? Experiment with your maxis, layer it, accessorize it well and get going!
